The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Le Roc des Anges is a flagship estate in the Roussillon region and one of our favorite addresses there. For more than twenty years, Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet have been producing biodynamic and high quality wines, full of character, strength and elegance, which majestically reflect the mineral qualities of their terroir. These wines express the places which forged their spirit!
Wine A blend of grenache gris and blanc, macabeu, carignan and malvoisie, the 2022 white IGP Côtes Catalanes Llum is a model of minerality, the ideal embodiment of that subtle freshness that comes from the soil. Purity, fine floral notes, infusion, lime blossom and lemon verbena, form an airy whole that is part of a chiseled, delicate and salivating framework, with great saline depth. The 70-100 year-old vines, the schist and limestone soils, and the moderate barrel ageing all contribute to this total mastery and enormous depth of field. A pure, sapid white wine that can be enjoyed immediately as an aperitif, but that will seduce you for many years to come with seafood à la plancha or spicy grilled calamari. A remarkable wine not to be missed! A Selection Committee favorite.
Vinification Hand-harvested, from vines between 70 and 100 years old, fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in old barrels.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine.
