The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Benoît Badoz is a master at preserving the proud traditions of the Franche-Comté region. With a Burgundy-inspired approach to vineyard plots, he honors the unique character of the Jura terroirs, crafting biodynamic wines that are always full of flavor, particularly his oxidative wines.

A gem for culinary pairings, vin jaune is virtually unmatched, with a legendary aging potential that is said to last forever.
Wine Bottled in January and tasted in preview by the Selection Committee, the 2017 white Côtes du Jura Vin Jaune comes from a frost-hit year that significantly reduced yields. This makes it a collector's item on several levels, as Vin Jaune production is limited, representing only about 4% of Jura's output. The 2017 vintage is a true rarity, with just 37 barrels produced, delivering a powerful wine that benefits from generous decanting. Its concentrated aromas are bold yet display a balanced oxidation, contrasting with an elegant finesse. The iconic "goût de jaune" feels timeless, revealing notes of walnuts and dried porcini mushrooms, leading into a palate remarkable for its breadth and strength. Potential for 30 years or more... Rated 96/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested, indigenous yeasts, aged for 6 years in oak barrels in dry cellars (centuries-old cellars with basements and natural stones).
Bottled on January 09, 2024.

Domaine in conversion to organic farming in 2019.
