Nestled in the foothills of the town of San Vicente de Sonsierra, Bodega Contador is a true icon. Benjamin Romeo, the modern visionary with an uncompromising style and biodynamic viticulture principles, has brought his estate to the top of the world wine scene. The 2018 Red Rioja Contador is at the beginning of its aging process, and has a beautiful freshness and balance for its young age. The tannins are delicate, the palate is bursting with flavors of black fruits and spices and has a slightly chalky finish. The aging in barrels (for 20 months in new barrels) does not hinder the wine's airy character and accompanies its generosity and power with ease. A vintage of great success, in a classic style, which will be around for a long time to come! Rated 98/100 by Parker. |
