The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A driving force behind the Rhône Valley revival, the Cave de Tain is breaking new ground. This ambitious cooperative structure has accustomed us to intense wines of unquestionable quality, offered at unbeatable prices.

Now they've taken it to the next level, and we're delighted. With its conversion to organic farming and rigorous selection process, the cooperative is one of the major players in the Northern Rhône.
Wine Carved out of the clay-limestone terroir in the southern part of the appellation, the 2021 white Saint-Joseph Nobles Rives is a pure, elegant white, dominated by marsanne. Beautiful complexity and freshness are expressed through very elegant floral notes, with a delicate touch of wood. The delicate palate, perfectly ripe and fresh, retains a beautiful natural tension and offers a lovely persistence of flavor, with delicate bitters. A white to be reserved for the table. Rated 93/100 by the Comité.
Vinification Hand harvested. Alcoholic fermentation partly in vats at 18°C and partly in barrels. Aged 40% in new 400-liter barrels and the rest in vats on fine lees for around 9 months.
