The 2019 Red Vintage Port is one of the standout successes of the vintage. Its deep, almost black color and elegant tears hint at remarkable concentration and a wealth of flavors. On the nose, it reveals fresh fruit and intense aromas of cherries in syrup, complemented by a subtle and well-integrated hint of fortified alcohol. The palate is pure, juicy, and spiced, offering a dense and structured profile that pairs beautifully with seared foie gras or blue cheese. This exceptional bottle is particularly notable for its balance, freshness, and refined aging. Best served slightly chilled at around 10°C, it boasts immense aging potential—at least 50 years. Awarded 94/100 by the Selection Committee. |
