We’ve been lifelong admirers of this discreet yet passionate estate. Spanning just over 20 hectares—nearly half of which are classified as Grand Cru—its vineyards are perched on steep, hand-tended slopes, epitomizing the artistry and devotion that define Domaine Albert Boxler.
Wine Upon opening, the 2022 Alsace Gewurztraminer White reveals a classic and elegant expression of the grape, with a pure nose offering aromas of rose petal and lychee. On the palate, its perfect ripeness is balanced by the vibrant freshness typical of Gewurztraminer, with subtle spicy notes emerging gracefully. This dry-to-off-dry white is beautifully balanced, making it an ideal match for moderately spiced Asian dishes or a slice of grilled country bread topped with Munster cheese. What precision! Vinification Hand-harvested from vines aged 35 to 80 years. Whole-berry pressing, static settling, no thermoregulation, 2-6 months fermentation on lees. Aged 11 months on lees.
