The estate and the wine |
Born in 2009 on the slopes of Vergisson and Davayé, the Domaine David Bienfait embodies the passion and commitment of this young winemaker. With just 6 hectares, he brings out the full splendor of southern Burgundy, producing wines from Pouilly, Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Villages.
Respect for the plant, observation, gentle pressing and measured ageing are the key elements in this young grower's success. Simple, meticulous attention to detail results in clean, well-crafted wines that perfectly reflect each appellation. |

Produced from young vines facing Mont-Blanc with magnificent exposure, the 2022 White Mâcon-Villages offers a lovely ripeness, with all the freshness of a Chardonnay perfectly executed without the addition of wood. The floral and mineral duo remains subtle and pleasing, signing a fresh, chiselled, finely acidic frame, which is a pleasure to bite into today. A fine example of well-managed, well-balanced Mâcon-Villages, to be enjoyed with seafood or as an aperitif, rated 91/100 by the committee. |
