The estate and the wine |
Dominique and Romain Cornin magnify the terroirs of Chaintré and Pouilly-Fuissé with an immense talent. Entirely biodynamic, their small vineyard is an outstanding example of the power of the Chardonnays from the Mâconnais region, with pure and radiant aromas of fruit, a reflection of the excellence of the limestone of Southern Burgundy. |

The 2021 white Pouilly-Fuissé is a wonderful representation of its grape variety. A fine ambassador of Chardonnay, combining depth, precision, and maturity of the harvest. The nose of almond, limestone, and gunflint seduces from the outset; the rich, lively, and accomplished palate remains firmly grounded in flavors of ripe fruit. It is a medium-bodied wine with an assertive mineral base, accessible today and over 5 to 6 years. |
