Since its acquisition by the Bouygues family five years ago, the estate has undergone a significant transformation. With a shift to biodynamic viticulture, a state-of-the-art gravity-fed winery, and refined aging techniques, the winemaking has reached new levels of precision and depth. These changes have firmly established Domaine Henri Rebourseau as one of Burgundy’s elite estates, on par with the region’s most iconic names.
Wine Located near Mazis-Chambertin on a north-facing parcel in the Combe de Lavaux, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Fonteny Red showcases exceptional finesse. Its subtle tannins and delicate aromas of bitter orange, morello cherry, and spices are framed by a firm structure, making it a wine with excellent aging potential. Rated 94/100 by Bettane+Desseauve.
Vinification Harvested by hand. Area of 0.80 ha, planted in 1970, 1986, 1988, 1989. 100% de-stemmed, vinification in open stainless steel vats. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
