The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine The embodiment of Champagne excellence, with 4 stars in the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France)—the ultimate recognition—Egly-Ouriet has earned its reputation through uncompromising standards. Spanning nearly 17 hectares, including 10 hectares classified as Grand Cru (Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay) and two hectares of Premier Cru in the Vrigny terroir, Francis Egly has created a legacy few houses can match, now working alongside his son Charles and daughter Clémence. The balance and finesse of their wines are unparalleled, setting a benchmark for classicism in Champagne.

From the very first cuvée in the range, the style impresses with integrity, blending strength and finesse while showcasing the mastery of Pinot Noir. These are full-bodied champagnes, crafted from very old vines, fermented in barrels, and aged for extended periods to mature and reveal their full potential at the perfect moment. Purity, nobility, and complexity consistently shine through with remarkable regularity.
Wine Entirely vinified in oak barrels, the Grand Cru Brut Rosé Champagne stands out with its bold and generous character. It is based primarily on the 2017 harvest, complemented by 30% from 2016 and 20% reserve wines, including a touch of Pinot Noir from Coteaux Champenois. This rosé captivates with aromas of Morello cherries, red fruits, pepper, and curry, offering a delicate and refined mouthfeel, lively bubbles, and a stunning finish. It's both a vinous and subtle rosé, perfect for pairing with dishes like duck with red fruits, spiced sweetbreads, or even seared lobster with shellfish oil. Simply exceptional!
Vinification Hand harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts and entirely in oak barrels, base 2017 completed by 30% 2016, 20% reserve wines 2015 including 5% pinot noir from Coteaux Champenois. Long aging on lees for 48 months before disgorgement. Unfiltered wine.
