The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine The Fumey-Chatelain estate, an artisanal estate in Montigny-lès-Arsures near Arbois, has become a favorite among Jura wine enthusiasts. Known for its exciting cuvées that naturally and elegantly express the Arbois identity, this estate is a must-visit for wine lovers.

Now managed by Marin Fumey, the son, and practicing organic viticulture, the vineyard is making remarkable strides. This year, it made a notable entry in the RVF Guide, recognized for its wines that exude clarity and cheerfulness, crafted from ripe, noble grapes.
Wine More than convincing, the 2016 white Arbois Vin Jaune is a stellar example of success and completeness in this style of wine aged under a veil. From old vines planted on powerful marl soils, this accomplished wine expresses the rich, biscuit-like and spicy character of the grape variety. It offers a profusion of flavors such as lemon, walnut, almond, green apple, and cumin-like spices. Supported by a superb acidic structure, it bursts with power and length, marked by intense freshness and rich texture. Rated 95/100 by RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested. Old vines. Lias marl soils. Whole grapes pressed in a pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation in vats using indigenous yeasts. Entonnage in the estate's attics. Aged for 6 years in 228-liter barrels in a cool cellar. Production of 5,178 bottles.

Certified organic wine.
