As the undisputed master of Roussillon, Domaine Gauby holds three stars from the Guide RVF and is acclaimed by critics as the true beacon of its region. A trailblazer and inspiration for a generation of winemakers, the domain advocates a minimally interventionist approach both in the vineyard and the cellar.
Practicing agroforestry and organic farming, alongside mixed cropping and livestock in a rugged, arid, and wild environment, this 100-hectare estate stands out as one of the most fascinating operations in the area. Gérard Gauby and his son continue to unveil the complexity and potential of the Calce terroir, with its unique ferrous limestone and schist.

Made entirely from Grenache Noir selected from the most exceptional parcels of the estate, the 2021 red IGP Côtes Catalanes Muntada once again produces a powdery, airy wine with highly elegant and finely sculpted characteristics, and ultra-fine tannin grain. This cuvée embodies the essence of the South, with scents of garrigue and maquis, alongside crushed raspberry, blackberry, and spices. It's a great wine with magical breadth that coats the palate smoothly without any harshness, offering firm and profound richness. It promises tremendous aging potential. Rated 96/100 by RVF. |
