In the heart of Gigondas, Domaine du Gour de Chaulé is gaining recognition for its impressive progress, thanks to its diverse parcels across the appellation and the leadership of Paul Fumoso.
Now at the helm of the family estate, Paul’s first vintages have been met with acclaim from Olivier Poussier. With organic farming, minimal sulfur use, whole-cluster fermentation, and aging in large foudres and concrete tanks, the wines showcase exceptional finesse, elegance, and a true expression of their terroir. |

Composed of 80% Grenache, the 2022 Red Gigondas Tradition showcases the expressive power of its southern terroir while maintaining balance and finesse. It reflects the vintage’s richness, with careful winemaking bringing out vibrant fruit flavors without overpowering tannins. Juicy Grenache leads the way, complemented by floral and spicy notes and a hint of blood orange. The palate is full and generous, with fine tannins adding structure and freshness. Sourced from 55-year-old vines on sandy, silty mid-slope parcels, this Gigondas offers impressive aging potential. Rated 93/100 by RVF. |
