The estate and the wine |

|
A fantastic viticultural success story coupled with a formidable human adventure, Maison Guigal is today at the pinnacle of its game. Its unrivalled vineyard heritage has enabled it to square the circle: produce large volumes of wine with unrivalled quality and consistency.
Whether it's his parcel-based cuvées or his lieux-dits, the standard remains very high, with feverish attention paid to every detail. All the wines here shine with admirable consistency, reflecting the House's dedication to its terroirs. |

The quintessence of the appellation, made from the finest terroirs, the 2022 white Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph is a little marvel of precision and balance, with an energizing freshness. Combined with an exceptional vintage, this rich, suave white, with its floral accents and the juvenile notes of its ageing, between fresh wood and toast, offers definite potential. It would be a shame to rush into anything! This is a great white wine of elegance, in which the marsanne grape (95%) displays finesse and complexity. |
