The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Owned by Maison Louis Jadot and awarded 2 stars by the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France), Château des Jacques is undeniably the most Burgundian of Beaujolais estates. With unmatched elegance and character, its wines consistently outperform their peers and often rival the finest standards of the Côte d’Or.
Wine Combining the vintage's freshness with the estate's precise craftsmanship, the 2021 Red Morgon captivates effortlessly with aromas of black fruit, plum, and blueberry. Its refined structure, supported by smooth tannins and subtle oak influence, delivers a harmonious and enjoyable profile, both flavorful and fruit-driven.
Vinification Hand harvested. Plots in 3 climates: Bellevue, Côte du Py and Roche Noire. Slow maceration for 3 to 4 weeks, fermentation punctuated by punching down and pumping over. Aged for 10 months in concrete vats and new oak barrels, from 1 to 2 wines in the XVIIᵉ century cellar (wood from the Nivernais, Limousin and Allier forests).
