The estate and the wine |
At Clos du Jaugueyron, Michel Théron and Stéphanie Destruhaut craft wines that are honest, deeply expressive, and gracefully refined—quietly exceptional, without chasing the spotlight, but staying true to the real character of the grape.
Their vines grow across a patchwork of plots in the Haut-Médoc and Margaux (Arsac), farmed biodynamically with constant, attentive care. In the cellar, their approach is equally thoughtful and restrained: minimal sulfur, gentle handling, and aging in large barrels that let the wine’s natural fruit flavors speak clearly, without distraction. |

From the prized terroir of Macau, on deep gravel soils, the 2020 Red Haut-Médoc harmoniously blends Cabernet and Merlot with elegance and finesse. Aged in top-quality barrels from the finest coopers, it reveals a dense and juicy profile that’s refined yet indulgent. Elegantly balanced with no heavy oak influence, this wine offers a fresh, modern expression of Bordeaux. |
