The estate and the wine |

Born in 2017 from a unique human and cultural encounter, crystallized into a new kind of project, Domaine Kuheiji is today one of the most exciting gems of the Côte de Nuits. Its roots are in Japan: Mr. Kuno, owner of the Kuheiji sake brewery and a great lover of Burgundy, has united these two worlds where the importance of terroir and fermentation are at the heart of their expression.
A bridge between Japan and Burgundy, this exclusive 2.5-hectare estate in Morey-Saint-Denis, managed daily by Hirotaka Ito with organic farming practices, produces an impeccable range of wines from the finest crus - Chambolle-Musigny, Corton, Pommard, Morey-Saint-Denis, Nuits-Saint-Georges... - in the pure Burgundian tradition, nurtured by Japanese precision.
This fusion of Japanese vision and Burgundian expertise results in unique, distinctive wines that are already highly sought after, available only through allocation. |

The finesse of the 2021 red Pommard delivers pure fruity flavors. The identity of the cru is brilliantly preserved, and we can already perceive an assertive structure that gives way to a delicate aftertaste. Black fruit and a touch of licorice are combined in a beautiful aromatic bouquet that will evolve favorably over the decade. |
