The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Nestled on the banks of the Vienne River facing Seyssuel, Château Le Devay is a rising star, cherished by Michelin-starred restaurants like Le Bristol, Le Cheval-Blanc Paris and Saint-Tropez, Le Clos des Sens, La Bouitte, and Le Flocon de Sel. Just a few kilometers from the last parcels of Côte-Rôtie, this estate, established in 2015, maintains exceptionally high-quality standards.

Under the stewardship of Jean-Charles Fournet, an inspired and tenacious newcomer to winemaking, the estate practices biodynamics, permaculture, and agroforestry across its 5 hectares of vines. With guidance from friend and advisor Pierre-Jean Villa, the wines, always fresher and more vibrant than elsewhere, captivate both enthusiasts and star winemakers alike. Jean-Michel Gerin, Christine Vernay, Yves Gangloff, and Thierry Germain are among the estate's earliest supporters, fans from the very beginning!
Wine Pure syrah from vines planted in 1971 and cultivated organically, the 2022 Vin de France Syrah is an easy-drinking, ultra-seductive, and airy wine. Fresh and fruity notes of violets highlight the well-ripened grapes, creating a luscious and well-rounded profile. This is a velvety, silky wine that delights on any occasion and in any season, with the potential to age gracefully for another 5 to 6 years! A favorite of the Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Aged in oak barrels.
