The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine One of Sancerre’s most discreet rising stars that our Selection Committee simply cannot stop raving about, The Serge Laloue estate crafts wines that perfectly embody all the excellence of their terroir. Franck and Christine Laloue are raising the bar of this family-run estate, producing some of the appellation’s most fragrant and impeccably balanced white wines and juicy and fresh reds.
Wine A model of Chardonnay, the 2021 white Chardonnay IGP Côtes de la Charité delivers a beautiful mineral imprint on the nose that judiciously goes beyond the varietal identity of the grape variety to offer an extremely delicate and pleasant floral register. Delicate, said, and saline, the very fresh wine offers itself without any ostentatious woodiness. This is an excellent aperitif wine to be associated with seafood or cheeses. A wonderful discovery of this unsuspected terroir, which has been cultivated for centuries by the Cistercian monks of Vougeot!
Vinification Hand harvested, matured on lees for 10 months, 60% of which in barrels.

High Environmental Value, certified by Ecocert.
