The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A leading figure in the Rhône Valley, Michel Chapoutier has built an exceptional range of wines. A visionary winemaker and pioneer of biodynamics, he is globally recognized for his instinctive approach and relentless pursuit of excellence. His wines are known for their consistency, depth, and ability to capture the essence of their terroirs.

Nowhere is this more evident than in Hermitage, his flagship appellation, where he crafts some of the region’s most iconic single-vineyard wines. These cuvées represent the height of complexity and finesse, built to age beautifully and leave a lasting impression.
Wine The 2021 Chante Alouette White Hermitage , a pure Marsanne, is a blend of select parcels from the finest terroirs of the appellation. The 2021 vintage, exceptional for whites, brings forward honeyed and quince notes, with delicate floral nuances and a touch of fine oak. It embodies the true essence of Hermitage. Already showing excellent maturity, this wine is expressive, with a rich yet fresh texture. Flavors of spice, ginger, and nuts lead into a long, citrus-tinged finish. A perfect match for creamy poultry or shellfish, it promises a remarkable experience. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Harvested by hand. Long pressing, light settling. Fermentation and ageing 30 to 40% in stainless steel vats and 60 to 70% in demi-muids, 10% of which are new and 90% from one to three wines, stirring on the lees for the first 2-3 months, which adds texture to the wine.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine.
