The estate and the wine |
Often seen as the twin of the iconic Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion shares more than just part of its name with its legendary neighbour — it upholds the same high standards that have earned both estates a place among the most refined wines in Bordeaux.
With a gravelly terroir that's slightly richer and vinified by the same expert team behind Haut-Brion, La Mission delivers a similarly structured profile and its signature smoky bouquet. While Haut-Brion may sometimes edge ahead with age, La Mission often surpasses it in sheer sensuality — offering a silkier texture and a more tender, opulent mid-palate. |

Powered by this outstanding vintage, the 2020 Red La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion from Pessac-Léognan lives up to its pedigree with striking flair, offering a bold, expressive take on its exceptional terroir. Ripe black fruit, roasted plum, and warm spice aromas unfold into a smooth, layered palate — rich and concentrated, yet perfectly framed by well-structured tannins that promise excellent aging potential. Freshness and tension bring lift and balance, creating a wine that feels both effortless and irresistibly polished. |
