The estate and the wine |
An icon of Saint-Estèphe and a 3-star estate in La Revue du Vin de France—one of France’s leading wine publications—Château Montrose asserts its dominance with unrivaled precision and power. The energy brought in by Martin Bouygues set the pace from day one, equipping the estate with a state-of-the-art winery and a top-tier team led by Hervé Berland, former managing director of Mouton Rothschild.
The vineyard responded like a finely tuned race car, and the results speak for themselves: bold, age-worthy Bordeaux that stand the test of time. |

All in suppleness and delicacy, the 2013 red Saint-Estephe Chateau Montrose is now ready. Equipped from the start with a beautiful potential for evolution, it deploys beautiful energy and momentum without the usual rigidity of the vintage, especially after this small decade of aging and a fresh and half-powerful vintage. A very nice reading of the vintage and the terroir of Saint-Estephe, already accessible. Rated 94/100 RVF. |
