The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A beacon of quality in the Terrasses du Larzac, La Réserve d’O, awarded 1 star by Guide RVF, stands out with its refreshingly vibrant wines. Frédéric and Marie Chauffray have chosen high-altitude vineyards on the foothills of the Larzac plateau, cultivating their vines organically and biodynamically to produce wines with stunningly velvety textures and silky tannins.

The couple crafts prolific and joyful cuvées, bursting with energy and impeccable freshness, standing apart from the more austere wines of the region. Their success was highlighted in a feature in our magazine Racines some time ago.
Wine A balanced blend of Grenache and Syrah with a touch of Cinsault, the 2020 Terrasses du Larzac Réserve d’O Red embodies timeless elegance, built on freshness and finesse. Its aging in jars and concrete tanks highlights bright notes of blackcurrant and coulis, enhancing its pure, vibrant expression. The palate reveals a warm, silky structure with excellent balance, supported by chalky tannins and a savoury, lingering finish. This is a wine of remarkable harmony and immediate pleasure. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
