The 2022 Red Valencia La Forcallà de Antonia revives the almost-forgotten Forcallà grape with remarkable finesse. Grown at 750 meters on sandy soils from ungrafted vines, this high-altitude red is crafted with 50% whole-cluster fermentation and aged in large foudres. The result is an incredibly aromatic and refined wine, offering notes of juicy cherry, stone fruit, and delicate peony. Silky tannins and vibrant freshness give it a style reminiscent of top-tier Grenache or Mencía, striking the perfect balance between ripeness and bright acidity. Elegant and expressive, it shines when served slightly chilled. Rated 94/100 by Parker. |
