A pioneering figure in Swiss viticulture, with over 30 years of experience, Charles Rolaz skillfully manipulates grape varieties and terroirs with finesse, drawing on Burgundian style to capture its most subtle expressions and produce outstanding contemporary terroir wines.

In the extension of the Rhône Glacier, along the shores of Lake Geneva, this territory with its complex geology shapes fresh and original wines. Appreciated by connoisseurs, Switzerland is today a significant wine region, working to preserve old varieties and incorporating the most virtuous cultural practices. A discovery not to be missed!
Wine Pure Chasselas, the 2022 white Lavaux Grand Cru Villette La Bolliattaz  comes from monopoly vineyards planted at 500 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils. It's a terraced vineyard, very steep and facing due south towards the Alps. Aged on fine lees, this white wine reveals itself delicately, opening with a very crystalline nose. What follows is a skillful balance between richness, minerality, and freshness, where notes of flint, white fruits, juicy pear, and white pepper blend in a sharp, mineral framework with lovely sapidity, supported by great maturity. What a wonderful surprise this refined, expansive white wine is! A wine for fine dining and keeping, perfect to accompany pike quenelles, sole meunière, or a fish terrine. A favorite of Olivier Poussier, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand-harvested, grapes are sorted into small crates to preserve berry integrity. Gentle pressing and slow fermentation. Aged on fine lees in oak barrels. Light filtration before bottling.
