A pillar of Champagne excellence, Maison Louis Roederer embodies—perhaps more than any other—the highest expression of this magical wine’s cultural refinement. It also remains one of the few great houses still independently run by a direct descendant of its founding family.
A driving force in the transformation of Champagne viticulture, Louis Roederer has long focused its energy on the vineyard, embracing organic farming and gentle, sustainable practices well ahead of the curve. Over half of its 250 hectares are now certified organic, with many parcels also following principles inspired by permaculture.
This uncompromising pursuit of perfection and Roederer’s forward-thinking approach to flavor and farming are the focus of an in-depth feature in the latest issue of our magazine Racines, which pays tribute to this remarkable Champagne artisan. |

Collection 244 is a Champagne of remarkable completeness, shaped by the ripeness of the 2019 vintage, the vibrant freshness of the Réserve Perpétuelle, and the complexity of reserve wines aged in oak. It strikes a superb balance—richly expressive and deeply indulgent—marking the return of Meunier, which brings a soft, fruity roundness to the more structured, saline Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Fresh and juicy in style, it reveals ripe fruit aromas—vine peach, pear, and a hint of roasted character—layered with a delicate chalky edge. The signature Collection warmth and generosity come through confidently in a mouthfeel that’s both powerful and mouthwatering, like biting into luscious, sun-ripened fruit. Smoky notes emerge on the finish, lending depth and savoriness. A truly great Champagne to enjoy freely—and in Magnum format, the pleasure is magnified. |
