The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A true Rhône Valley goldsmith, Aurélien Chirat tames the dizzying slopes of Condrieu and Côte Rôtie with uncommon dexterity. For several vintages now, he has been leading Vignobles Chirat e the prices remain reasonable compared to the prices of these prestigious appellations. This is the estate to follow, the rising star of Côte Rôtie and Condrieu.

He now vinifies the complete range of great Northern Rhône wines, much to our delight, all the more so as his prices remain reasonable compared to the prices of these prestigious appellations. This is the estate to watch, the rising star of Côte Rôtie and Condrieu.
Wine Floral and delicate, the 2022 white Condrieu Les Chays delivers a complex aromatic bouquet, notably of jasmine, with an oaky presence that will integrate over time. The palate is graceful and airy, with a suave, perfectly ripe profile. A model Viognier to be reserved for lake or river fish, such as a fillet of féra with grilled almonds. Rated 92/100 by the Comité.
Vinification Hand harvested. Whole grapes pneumatically pressed. Traditional vinification. Aged for 8 months, 50% in 500L French and Austrian demi-muids and 50% in Austrian Stockinger foudre.
