Wine:

Sourced from the estate’s oldest vines at 900 meters altitude, the 2021 Ribera del Duero Picaro Red is a wine of remarkable intensity and generosity, showcasing exceptional balance. While predominantly Tempranillo, the mixed plantings contribute additional complexity and nuance. The wine offers incredible depth, driven by its freshness and concentration, with aromas of black fruits accented by a delicate smoky note. On the palate, it reveals precise, pure flavours with a crisp edge, seamlessly balancing power and richness. The ripe, silky texture delivers pure indulgence. Rated 94/100 by both the Selection Committee and Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Natural fermentation of whole bunches in concrete vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine is unfiltered. Aged 12 months in French oak barrels.

Fresh and concentrated, with lovely black fruit aromas accented by a hint of smoke.
