Wine:

The 2022 White Rully Les Villeranges is all about precision and balance, offering a pure, expressive Chardonnay with a touch of discreet oak. The nose is bright and clean, with a chalky character and well-integrated hints of wood that add depth without overpowering. On the palate, the texture is smooth and well-rounded, striking the perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. A highly enjoyable Rully, ready to drink now but with the structure to age beautifully for at least eight years.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, pneumatically pressed. Alcoholic fermentation over 4 weeks, in French oak barrels for half the harvest.
Aged for 16 months with regular stirring of the lees in oak barrels, including 10% new wood, for 50% of the harvest, and in stainless steel tanks for the remaining 50%.

Color:

Pale yellow with green highlights.

Nose:

Highly pure, marked by chalky notes and delicate woody nuances.

Palate:

Full-bodied and fresh, with round fruity flavors, this wine unfurls a flavorful, perfectly-balanced juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Vegetable terrine, salmon en papillote, cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2032, and even longer for enthusiasts.

A benchmark for great Burgundy wines, Domaine Faiveley is one of the region’s most iconic names. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the estate has been quietly evolving in recent years, fine-tuning its approach while drawing from an exceptional lineup of vineyards in some of Burgundy’s most prestigious terroirs.

With Jérôme Flous as technical director, Erwan Faiveley has gradually refined the estate’s style—favoring riper fruit, greater purity, and fresher expressions, while toning down the influence of oak.

This impressive transformation, recognized with a star in the French wine guide RVF, goes hand in hand with a full organic conversion, carefully implemented across the estate’s holdings, from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise.
