Wine:

With over 60% Pinot Noir in this vintage, along with a higher-than-usual proportion of Chardonnay, the 2014 White La Grande Année Brut exemplifies the "Champagne miracle" of late summer that allowed the grapes to mature beautifully. The result is a finely crafted wine with a brioche note, providing a comforting mouthfeel and a silky smoothness. It is ready to drink now and can also age gracefully for another decade. Rated 95/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Blend of 19 crus, mainly from Aÿ and Verzenay for the Pinot Noir and from Chouilly and Oiry for the Chardonnay. Fermented entirely in old oak barrels (20 years old on average), matured in corks for a cellar ageing time more than twice as long as the appellation rules, i.e. over 6 years of maturation on the lees in the cellar.
Dosage: 8 gr/l (Brut).

Temperature:

Serve between 8 and 10°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Scallops, noble fish, poultry creamed with chanterelles or morels, mature cheeses such as Cantal or Salers aged over a year.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2035, and even longer for enthusiasts.

At the pinnacle of Champagne, Bollinger is part of the exclusive circle of elite houses that have remained family-owned. Highly sought after by enthusiasts, it has built its reputation on a distinctive style that sets it apart.

From fermentation in small oak barrels to ageing reserve wines in magnums and extended maturation of its cuvées, Bollinger upholds every hallmark of excellence. The result? Rich, complex, and refined Champagnes, driven by Pinot Noir and crafted with unmistakable depth.

A three-star estate in the French wine guide RVF, this iconic Champagne House remains a benchmark for gastronomic Champagne. Its legendary cuvées—Grande Année, R.D., and now its single-vineyard releases—are among the most coveted by collectors worldwide.
