Wine:

Combining volume and consistency, the 2019 Margaux de Brane offers a refined and balanced juice that fully embodies this prized terroir. Balsamic and menthol notes signal perfectly ripe Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by aromas of charcoal, cedar, and cassis. With excellent maturity, this Margaux displays great freshness, depth, and a palate with well-proportioned tannins. Sourced from the young vines of Château Brane-Cantenac, it is a perfect representative of the appellation, long and balanced, and can be aged for 10 years or more without issue.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from September 18th to October 9th. Traditional vinification in stainless steel and concrete vats. Aged for 12 months in the Château cellars.

Color:

Ruby red with purplish highlights.

Nose:

Complex, with lovely aromas of ripe red and black fruits, underlined by lightly smoky notes and a floral touch of violet.

Palate:

The first impression is silky and powerful, while the mid-palate is rich and full-bodied, with good acidity, coated tannins and a well-balanced structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled beef skewers, black pudding on mashed potatoes, navarin lamb.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2029 and beyond for enthusiasts.

Totally invigorated by the expertise of Henri Lurton, who leads it with conviction and talent, Château Brane-Cantenac has become one of the most sought-after Grands Crus Classés in all of Margaux. Unfailingly consistent, this estate delivers a masterful success with each vintage, especially in outstanding years like 2018. Here, the wines never impose their power but rather embody the regal finesse of the Margaux terroir.
