Wine:

Distinguished by its freshness, sapidity, and balance, the 2022 red Terrasses du Larzac Lansade is a delightful blend of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. With its aromatic herbs and garrigue, the nose is pure and concentrated with beautiful aromas of black fruits, particularly black cherry, presenting an ultra-fruity ensemble. On the palate, the same clarity prevails, featuring a concentrated, ripe, and fresh profile, supported by chalky tannins and contained power, with a very pleasing, fleshy character. Modest in its aging process, this magnificent bottle, both smooth and structured, is perfect for savoring over the next 6 to 8 years with dishes like lamb sautéed with olives or rabbit chasseur. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Independent vinification for each grape variety. Gentle pumping over and punching of the cap, with a short vatting period. Aged 60% in vats, 40% in demi-muids for Carignan only.

Certified organic wine.

Driven by the new generation at the helm, Château de Jonquières is revitalizing its strengths and emerging as one of the finest estates in the region. Olivier Poussier confirms: this estate is on the rise!

It's no surprise, given its fiery terroir, nestled next to the château, a historic monument, on the limestone screes of Larzac—a soil perfectly suited for producing wines with strong character. These 10 hectares, organically farmed by Clément and Charlotte de Béarn, yield structured and flavorful wines with inherent freshness and delightful appeal.
