Wine:
The latest release from the estate, the 2022 White Clos de la Coulée de Serrant, shows exceptional character, born from an outstanding vintage marked by concentrated ripeness and high natural sugars. With 32 g/L of residual sugar, this wine reveals layers of beeswax, apricot, and wheat. On the palate, the sweetness is more subtle than the label might suggest, adding depth, balance, and a richly satisfying texture. The passerillage technique enhances the wine’s structure, lifting its aromas and imparting a delightful, rounded finish. All signs point to this as a future classic!Vinification:
Hand-harvested, vinified without chaptalization or relevurage, no temperature control, 1 or 2 rackings, stirring of the lees, very light "pre-filtration" filtration, aged in oak barrels for 6 to 8 months, new wood limited to 5%, light sulfiting before bottling.Vineyard certified organic and biodynamic since 1981.

A pioneer of biodynamics, Nicolas Joly is an iconic figure in the Loire Valley, now joined by his daughter Virginie. At the peak of their craft and awarded 1 star in the Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France (RVF), they create exceptional white wines with rich, layered textures that age beautifully over the years.
A global icon in viticulture, La Coulée de Serrant is one of the world’s greatest white wines and the sole representative of its namesake appellation. Cultivated entirely biodynamically for over 40 years, this estate produces an intensely complex, enigmatic wine that reveals its true depth only after years of aging.
