Wine:

The House of Deutz needs no introduction. For decades its Brut Classique has been a model of champagne-making. The bouquet is very expressive. It reveals aromas of white flowers, hawthorn and small red fruit. The bubbles are fine and terribly delicate. This heavenly wine encapsulates all the elegance of champagne.

Vinification:

The Champagne Brut Classic is the result of the blending of several year's harvests (all carried out by hand). The "House Style" is maintained by adding the reserve wines, by the quality of the grapes, by the selection of growths (crus), and the appropriate balance between the 3 great Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir, (1/3), Pinot Meunier (1/3) and Chardonnay (1/3).

Color:

Sustained gold colour, very fine string of bubbles, characteristic of wines that have spent a long time maturing on their lees.

Nose:

Very expressive on the nose, floral aromas (hawthorn, white flowers, etc), followed by toast, ripe fruit jelly sweets (pears, apples, etc).

Palate:

On the palate, the champagne combines the freshness of the Chardonnay, the unctuousity of the Pinot Noir, the suppleness of the Pinot Meunier with a elegant vinosity. The aromas are nice and mellow and the texture, silky. The wine finishes smoothly on a very long lingering, fruity note.

Temperature:

Serve between 9 and 11°C

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, fish, seafood, poultry, white meat, Brie de Meaux cheese, Brie de Melun cheese.

Cellar aging:

Enjoy up to and including 2014
