Wine:
A new addition from Egly-Ouriet, the 'Les Vignes de Bisseuil' Brut Premier Cru showcases Chardonnay as its main focus, complemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It’s almost a mirror image, in a photographic sense, of the Pinot-dominant Ambonnay cuvées. Aged in oak, this Champagne captures the charm of Chardonnay-driven styles. Primarily from the 2019 harvest and with very low dosage, it reveals delicate aromas of flowers and almond. Crisp, finely structured, and vibrant, it finishes with a long, saline edge—a brilliant achievement from Francis Egly. Perfect at the start of a meal, pairing beautifully with raw fish or delicate dishes.Vinification:
Hand harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts and in oak barrels. Aged in cellar for 48 months before disgorging. Made from the 2019 harvest and 2018 (30%) et 2017 (20%). Unfiltered wine.Dosage : 1 gr/l.
Color:
Clear and bright gold.4Nose:
Aromas of flowers, lime blossom, a touch of aniseed, honeyed, completed with notes of almonds.Palate:
Bright and finely chiseled, with a pure, energetic expression of Chardonnay. This Champagne dazzles with its chalky minerality, refined elegance, and a long, saline finish that leaves you wanting more.

From now on
The embodiment of Champagne excellence, with 4 stars in the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France)—the ultimate recognition—Egly-Ouriet has earned its reputation through uncompromising standards. Spanning nearly 17 hectares, including 10 hectares classified as Grand Cru (Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay) and two hectares of Premier Cru in the Vrigny terroir, Francis Egly has created a legacy few houses can match, now working alongside his son Charles and daughter Clémence. The balance and finesse of their wines are unparalleled, setting a benchmark for classicism in Champagne.
From the very first cuvée in the range, the style impresses with integrity, blending strength and finesse while showcasing the mastery of Pinot Noir. These are full-bodied champagnes, crafted from very old vines, fermented in barrels, and aged for extended periods to mature and reveal their full potential at the perfect moment. Purity, nobility, and complexity consistently shine through with remarkable regularity.
