Wine:

Drawing inspiration from Bordeaux, the 2020 Red Mendoza Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard is the estate’s flagship cuvée. Made from 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec, it comes from limestone-rich soils at nearly 1,500 meters of altitude, resulting in a wine of power, precision, and elegance. Awarded an extraordinary 99/100 by the Parker Guide and described as "phenomenal," it stands out for its freshness, balance, and depth. Its concentrated core reveals layered notes of ripe black fruit, dried herbs, and subtle spice, all supported by a velvety texture and vibrant tension. The wine’s refined structure and remarkable length point to significant aging potential, making it a true benchmark for Gualtallary's high-altitude terroirs.

Vinification:

The vines are located at an altitude of 1470 metres. The grapes are harvested 5 times, to ensure that they are perfectly ripe. A month and a half elapses between the first and last harvests. Traditional vinification. Aged for 15 months in old tuns over 100 years old.
