Wine rated 95/100 by our Committee

Wine:

Located just below Les Perrières, the 2023 White Meursault Premier Cru Charmes is a wine aged with restraint—only 15% new oak—allowing the fruit and the natural energy of the terroir to shine through. With impressive intensity, it reveals elegant toasted and grilled notes, vibrant freshness, and a dynamic lift. It has greater breadth than the Village-level wines, with the roundness and stature typical of this esteemed cru. A beautifully crafted bottle, well worth cellaring. Rated 95/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Long pressing of whole grapes. Alcoholic fermentation with 100% indigenous yeasts, malolactic fermentation with stirring of the lees, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which are new.
Plot located in the Les Charmes Dessus climat.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Bright, light golden yellow.

Nose:

Noble toasted and grilled touches mixed with chalky notes.

Palate:

On the palate, this wine shows impressive intensity, with sparkling fruit flavors—think citrus and crisp white peach— that bring remarkable freshness and energy. It also carries the signature roundness and depth of its terroir, giving it both presence and poise.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Half-cooked foie gras, skate wing in cream, vol-au-vent with sweetbreads.

Cellar aging:

From today until 2034 and beyond for enthusiasts.

A fresh chapter begins for this historic estate in the heart of Meursault. Acquired in 2018 by the Derichebourg family, Domaine Guy Bocard is undergoing a complete transformation under the guidance of renowned Burgundy winemaker Philippe Pacalet.

Since the 2022 vintage, the wines have been completely revitalized, marking a triumphant return to form for this discreet six-hectare estate, now certified organic and focused exclusively on Village and Premier Cru wines.
