Wine:

A Committee Heartthrob rated 94/100, the 2022 red Fleurie Origines is a tremendous success. Gamay at its finest, with exquisite purity, combining freshness and maturity uncompromisingly around juicy black fruit and black cherry. The structure unfolds with cheerfulness, precision, and balance, providing a crunchy, refined, and flavorful texture. Everything comes together to deliver maximum pleasure in its simplicity! We love it.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, from 50% young vines aged 3 and 5 years, in conversion to organic farming, and 50% older vines, a blend of Les Roches and Les Garants climats, 12-day whole bunch maceration in 60-hl concrete vats.
Aged 7 months in concrete vats.

Identified by our Committee before catching the press's attention and endorsed by Olivier Poussier, the World's Best Sommelier, Grégoire Hoppenot is on the rise in Beaujolais.

We noticed him right from his inaugural 2018 vintage, and witnessing his talent flourish has been rewarding. He stands among the Beaujolais luminaries, akin to Lapierre, Desvignes, and Foillard.

Grégoire Hoppenot extensively explored Beaujolais's hills, selecting premium terroirs in Morgon and Fleurie to build his estate. His approach is clear-cut: to harness the utmost from each site, embracing a Burgundian take on "climats" – distinct parcels celebrated for their unique geological and natural traits.
