Wine:

The 2018 Red Saint-Estèphe Château Ormes de Pez is the perfect example of what makes Medoc such a great terroir. Hailed as “the most complete vintage in the estate’s recent history” according to Bettane+Desseauve, who rated it 17/20 and praised it for its quality and voluptuousness. Combining black fruits, intensity and power with a nice concentration and freshness, this perfect wine ends with a long and intense finish. A beautiful cuvée, rated 90-92/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, aged for 16 months in oak barrels of which 45% are new.

Color:

Purple red of good intensity.

Nose:

Intense aromas of black fruits.

Palate:

Full and fresh with abundant fruit, this voluptuous wine is intense and powerful with a lingering finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Rack of lamb with thyme, roasted quail with prunes and almonds, venison with Grand Veneur sauce.
