With 85% Cabernet Sauvignon—one of the highest proportions in the estate’s history—the 2016 Red Château Pichon Baron Pauillac exudes monumental class. This wine is structured, energetic, and powerful, yet remarkably refined, with time in the cellar adding a sense of calm and a beautiful velvety texture to the tannins. Subtle toasted notes and the bold presence of Cabernet highlight its intensity and youthful vitality. Rated 99/100 by RVF and 97/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from 3 to 18 October for the Merlot and from 10 to 18 October for the Cabernet Sauvignon. Traditional vinification. Aged 80% in new barrels and 20% in one-wine barrels for 18 months.

Color:

Intense garnet red.

Nose:

Delicate aromas of red and black fruit, blueberry, black cherry and blackcurrant with a hint of spice.

Palate:

It opens with a broad, energetic, and generous profile, delivering balanced richness, velvety tannins, and a precise, lingering finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.
