Wine:

Exhibiting a lovely maturity but with less power than usual, the 2021 Red Palette offers a delightful and immediate drinking experience. Very approachable, it presents a medium-bodied profile with a spicy bouquet and elegant structure, delighting the palate with infused fruit notes. This balanced and airy wine showcases vibrant floral and fruit characteristics. It can be enjoyed over the next decade. Rated 96/100 by Bettane+Desseauve.

Vinification:

Manual harvest. Vines over 50 years old. Light crushing with destemming, fermentation in small vats with pump-overs, and a 21-day maceration period. Pressing of the grape skins is done using a vertical hydraulic press. Aged for 24 months in small casks, followed by 12 months in oak barrels of varying ages. The wine is blended at bottling, with no filtration.
