Wine:

With a broad and powerful structure, the 2012 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame is a fully realized Champagne, distinguished by notes of ripe fruits, toasted and roasted nuances, and dried fruits. Bursting with energy and driven by the robust vigor of its 90% Pinot Noir blend, it unfolds with remarkable complexity, showcasing mature, deep tones of spices and smoke. This is a grand Champagne, perfect for fine dining. Rated 94/100 by La Revue du Vin de France and 98/100 by Bettane+Desseauve.

Vinification:

Mainly composed of grapes from the historic Grands Crus vineyards of Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay and Bouzy. The 10% Chardonnay comes from the Grands Crus vineyards of Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Brut dosage: 6g/l.

Gold with fine bubbles.

Nose:

Aromas of white flowers (jasmine, honeysuckle, vine blossom), fruity notes of apple, pear and peach and notes of fresh almonds, frangipane.

Palate:

Elegant and silky with mature fruity notes, this champagne is deep and powerful, revealing more complex aromas of dried apricot, hazelnut, honey and candy sugar.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.
