Maison Verget, founded by Guffens before passing the reins to Julien Desplans, produces exceptional Burgundies, particularly in the Mâconnais. It is one of our favorite partners, with whom we’ve built a strong relationship. Sourced from the prized terroirs of Charnay and Pierreclos in the Mâconnais, the 2022 White Mâcon-Villages Vallons de Lamartine delivers a beautifully pure expression of Chardonnay grown on limestone and clay soils. Exclusively vinified in stainless steel tanks, this white wine strikes a perfect balance of floral and fruity notes, with a generous palate, a silky texture, and a vibrant mineral finish. A benchmark for the style, it earned a 93/100 rating and was a standout selection of our Selection Committee.
