Domaine Albert Mann - Vin d'Alsace - Clos de la Faille - Pinot Noir - Red - 2022

Wine:

A rare gem from the estate, the 2022 Alsace Pinot Noir Clos de la Faille is crafted to rival the finest Burgundian standards. Aged in barrels without new oak, it showcases a delicate, lightly extracted profile, perfectly embodying the finesse and velvety texture of this refined vintage. With its innate elegance, vibrant flavours, and beautifully structured tannins, this is a stunning wine, ideal for pairing with poultry or veal.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in 20kg crates. Vinification according to the infusion principle. Natural fermentation. Aged for 17 months in barrels, 10% of which are new.

Color:

Bright light garnet red.

Nose:

A fruity expression of Pinot Noir with aromas of perfectly ripened burlat cherries and subtle toasty notes.

Palate:

A delicate, fine structure with moderate acidity, black cherry flavors and a floral touch of peony.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Fillet of beef cooked at low temperature with pan-fried chanterelles, veal chop and sweet potato gnocchi.
