Wine:

Produced from 80-year-old vines on granite slopes, the 2022 red Moulin-à-Vent Les Caves is a fully mature wine, with radiant, generous notes of fruit. Notes of elderberry and juicy cherry intertwine with well-integrated, perfectly managed ageing. The fleshy, structured and even full-bodied palate displays exemplary volume, without excess, the whole remaining balanced with fruit that's already wide open. A Gamay marvel to be enjoyed for 7 years or more. Rated 95/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, whole bunch vinified, aged in concrete vats for 6 months and in bottle for 4 months.

Color:

Dark red with purple highlights.

Nose:

Notes of elderberry mixed with black fruit aromas.

Palate:

Full-bodied and structured, this cuvée is perfectly matured, producing a full-bodied juice with exemplary volume and fine balance.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Chicken breasts with parsley, veal chops parmentières, rabbit with mustard.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
