The 2022 vintage has produced an anthology-worthy year, blending the best of 2018 and 2020, and of course, surpassing them! Originating from vines planted between 1920 and 1945 on a two-hectare plot with granitic and clay soils, the 2022 red Brouilly Coeur des Feuillées is yet another triumph in a sun-drenched year: its color is stunning, dense, almost black with hints of violet. A swirl of the glass reveals a bouquet of stone fruits and syrupy cherries, ripe yet fresh. The palate is sheer delight: one savors the juicy, full-bodied gamay with its fine, smoothly wrapped tannins. This wine charms from the get-go and will age gracefully for five years or more. It boasts the grace and brilliance of a Burgundy and the generosity of a great Beaujolais gamay. Irresistible and unique!
