Wine:

The 2009 Red Château Laroque Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a perfect Bordeaux ready to be enjoyed today. Showcasing positive development and still-fresh fruit, it stands out with aromas of macerated fruits, balsamic notes, and a notable presence of oak, featuring precious wood and a hint of cinnamon. The texture is smooth and polished, substantial in size, maintaining a refreshing style. A beautiful Bordeaux to pair with a truffled poularde or roasted poultry with chestnuts. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Vinification in temperature-controlled cement vats. Aged 50% in new barrels and 50% in barrels that have contained one wine.

Dark garnet-red, slightly shaded.

Nose:

Full, powerful aromatic arc with scents of macerated fruit, a hint of balsamic and subtle oak.

Palate:

A delicate, full-bodied attack on the palate, with a clean, silky tannic structure underscored by pleasant freshness.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
