The 2023 Langoa Barton has once again met expectations, impressing critics during the En-Primeurs wines campaign and earning a 93-95/100 rating from Parker.
This renowned cru, celebrated for its delicious, silky, and indulgent wines, delivers a fully accomplished wine in this vintage. It offers a beautiful expression of fruit, a creamy texture, tender tannins, and a crisp finish. Now vinified in a brand-new winery and backed by rigorous parcel selections, the 2023 vintage showcases superior precision, flavor intensity, and refined sap. Its luscious texture, vibrant fruit, and firm Médoc character are supported by 60% perfectly matured Cabernet Sauvignon, revealing a style of obvious and absolute classicism.
Neighboring Léoville-Barton and vinified by the same team, Château Langoa Barton enjoys the same meticulous care both in the vineyard and the winery. Nestled in the heart of the Saint-Julien vineyard, just south of Léoville, it shares the same terroir imprint. During the Primeurs, the two crus are sometimes hard to distinguish. Classically styled, Langoa consistently features a dense and tannic structure, highly spiced, and a complete expression of Saint-Julien.
The 2023 Langoa Barton is simply one of the most prudent En-Primeurs purchases, according to Parker!
