Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the few Graves Classified Growths to be classified as both a red and a white wine. Its gravelly terroir makes it one of the appellation's most prestigious references. Masterfully renovated by the Bonnie family, who have owned it since 1990, the vineyard has never faltered in its pursuit of excellence. The 53 hectares of vineyards - of which only 7 hectares are planted with white grapes - produce reds of impressive strength and straightforwardness, endowed with great finesse, and whites of great unctuosity and palate volume, racy, nervous and well-balanced.
Rated 92/100 by Olivier Poussier, the 2023 vintage reproduces the formidable uprightness of the cru, set on great freshness. The taste is subtle, firmly rooted in red fruit, the palate very delicate, with subdued tannins, and the finish chiselled and refined.
A careful and delicate interpretation of the vintage, in an affordable price range. Always a bargain!
