Stéphane Derenoncourt is one of those discreet giants. His name may not mean much to you, but he's been the most influential man in world viticulture for the last 30 years. As a wine consultant, he is behind countless great successes, imprinting his aesthetic bias for wines of great finesse, flavor and sapidity.

Domaine de l'A is his personal estate, 11 hectares on a superb limestone plateau, which he has worked with his wife Christine for over twenty years. A laboratory of ideas, but also the culmination of his approach, this property delivers a whole, uncompromising style.

The 2023 vintage once again illustrates the richness of the Castillon terroir, as well as the sensitivity and talent of the Derenoncourt couple. The quality of the fruit, its floral nuances, its delicate perfumes, then its caressing frame with well-melted tannins and a mineral, saline finish form a highly civilized whole.

This wine, forged by the seal of deep conviction, meets the highest expectations. Tasting it is always a supreme emotion, and if you didn't have the label in front of you, you might as well be tasting a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé...
